Etsy. I've Done It.

It took ALOT of work...well sitting at the computer, cussing and carrying on....

But I have my store set up and stocked a bit.  From everything I have read it is better to add a few things over time rather than everything all once.

I have learned some things.
1.  I don't like taking pictures (I think I already knew this one.)

2.  If I wanted to take pictures I would have become a photographer.

3.  I don't like my camera.

4. My tripod is awful.

.......

I have been obsessing over the last week about making my store perfect.  The banner, the policies, how to do shipping, what to charge, THE PICTURES....

I finally realized I need to start somewhere.  So I have.

Next I need to figure out how to put the direct link in blogger.

Meanwhile.

Here's the LINK.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Congrats on jumping in! I don't mind taking the photos, it's the writing I hate. I'm like you if I wanted to write I would be a novelist or something.
I think you are off to a good start, one suggestion, everything I have read about Etsy photos suggests the customers enjoy environmental photos and that little sheep bank would be so cute shot with some props, like some old barn wood, or barbed wire, or sitting in a pile of pennies, blah blah, can you tell I used to be a stylist? There are some places on Etsy's website where you can read about all kinds of photo hints and they are very helpful, you could probably also google etsy photo suggestions and get some good ones. The first time I did Etsy was around Christmas and I sold everything I listed, next time was in January and I sold very little. Now I am in the midst of show season and have no time, I'm going to try today, you have me motivated!
Good luck :)

Thanks for the tip Tracy. I'm definitely gonna work harder on that in the next pictures....

(If you take the pictures I'll write the text! Ha!)

How was Dan when you saw him? His birds look wonderful. Hope you had fun there.

Looks good Anna. Just keep shooting those photos. I don't think they are bad. My problem seems to be getting a true color representation.
